MEDFORD, Ore. (KOIN) – A 61-year-old Oregon man will likely be charged in U.S. District Court for threatening the President of the United States and using an interstate facility to transmit the threat, according to the FBI.

Special agents arrested John Martin Roos Thursday at an apartment on Poplar Drive in Medford, the FBI confirmed in a prepared statement.

Agents found what appeared to be several pipe bombs in the apartment.

The Oregon State Police Explosives Unit was called to the scene. Members of the team successfully rendered the devices safe.

Another man who lives with Roos was questioned and released.

He is not facing any criminal charges.

Roos was booked into Jackson County Jail.
