SALEM, Ore. (KOIN) — A 9-year-old told police he was grabbed by a stranger wearing a Boston Red Sox cap near a school bus stop in Salem Monday morning.
The boy was walking from his home to the bus stop near Stellars Eagle Street and Bald Eagle NW around 8:30 a.m. when the alleged incident happened, Salem police said in a release.
The boy said his arm was grabbed, but he pulled away before being pushed to the ground. The child ran away and said the stranger followed him in his car — an old black and rusted vehicle that squealed.
Police said the boy had a scrape on his arm when he was spotted by an Oregon State Police trooper along Highway 22.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s with blue eyes and a Boston Red Sox cap.
