Man found dead in church parking lot was murdered

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was was found dead in the parking lot of St. Rita’s Catholic Church on NE Prescott Street on the morning of August 4.

The medical examiner has determined that 45-year-old Sou Chiew Saechao’s death was a homicide and police are investigating.

A person was detained but later released and police say there are currently no suspects in the case.

Portland Police say this is the tenth homicide in Portland in 2016.
