Suspect arrested after hours barricaded in house

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man wanted for attempted murder, robbery and domestic violence barricaded himself in a NE Portland home for nearly 8 hours Thursday, threatening to shoot anyone who entered.

Tony Lamont Brown, 48, was arrested around 10 p.m. after several attempts to get him to surrender using tear gas and explosives to get through the door.

The house on the 3400 block of NE 81st Avenue reportedly belongs to a victim of domestic violence, according to Portland Police Bureau.

Brown was booked into jail on charged of attempted murder/domestic violence, robbery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree/domestic violence, menacing/domestic violence and felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
