WOODBURN, Ore. (KOIN) — A 23-year-old man faces numerous charges for crimes dating back at least 3 years, Woodburn police said.
Dustin L. Nehl was arrested Wednesday about 12 hours after a search at his house in the 400 block of Ben Brown Lane in Woodburn.
Investigators said Nehl is connected to crimes at the Woodburn Estates & Golf as well as the City of Woodburn’s water facility in Centennial Park.
In a statement, Woodburn Police Chief Jim Ferraris said, “This is a significant arrest not only because of the threat to our residents, but to City infrastructure and public safety.”
The investigation is ongoing, but for now Nehl is being held in the Marion County Jail on the following charges from 3 separate incidents:
— 1st-degree arson, 4 counts of possessing a destructive device, 4 counts of constructing a destructive device for crimes in the 1900 block of West Hayes Street
— 1st-degree arson in the 700 block of South Cascade Drive
— 2 counts of 1st-degree criminal mischief at the Woodburn water treatment facility.
