Police: Drunk driver sideswiped patrol car

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A drunk driver sideswiped a marked patrol vehicle on Sunday morning, authorities say.

The Portland Police Bureau said Gailla T. Rdiall, 20, sideswiped the patrol car on Northeast Sandy Boulevard at 12:50 a.m. and then continued driving west.

She pulled into the parking lot of a gas station on 82nd Avenue and got back onto Northeast Sandy Boulevard before stopping for police. Authorities said an officer watched her climb into the back seat of the vehicle then claim a male passenger was driving.

Rdiall was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and faces charges of DUI and reckless driving.

No injuries resulted from the crash.
