PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person was found shot to death inside an office building in Northeast Portland Saturday evening, a case the Portland police are treating as a homicide.
Police were called around 7:40 p.m. to the Liberty Centre, 650 NE Holladay Street, and found the already-dead person.
The circumstances were suspicious and homicide detectives were called to the scene. PPB Sgt. Pete Simpson said it’s unusual for a death investigation to be taking place in an office building.
“It does seem as if it would be somebody associated with the building,” Simpson said, but would not say how that person was associated. He also did not say in which office the person was found or in what business, as there are several businesses inside this building.
The person’s identity and other details will be released after the autopsy is conducted.
