Murder suspect brought back to Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 38-year-old man is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Multnomah County Circuit Court on allegations that he killed 45-year-old Michael Scott Hoven.

Felauai Satele was brought back to Oregon on Tuesday. He had been held in the Clark County Jail since Oct. 20 after being arrested by the Vancouver Police Department.

According to police, Satele was wanted after shooting and killing Hoven September 23 in a home in the 1700 block of Southeast 162nd Avenue.

Police tell KOIN 6 News that the murder was not random and that drugs may have been a motive.
