Jonathan David Boland was arrested in connection with three convenience store robberies in Portland.

Police say he robbed the Duniway Market on SW 5th Avenue on October 5, Plaid Pantry on NE Sandy Boulevard on October 6 and Plaid Pantry on NE Glisan Street on October 7.

Boland is charged with three counts of robbery in the second degree.

In a statement, PSU coach Bruce Barnum said Boland has been suspended from the team until his legal situation is resolved.

“We were shocked to hear of this situation,” said Barnum. “If these allegations are found to be true, I will be crushed. That said, we have to wait for the legal process to take place and find out exactly what his involvement may be.”
