ST. HELENS, Ore. (KOIN) — The husband of the mayor of Clatskanie pleaded not guilty on Monday to 30 charges of public indecency.
The DA’s Office decided last week to formally charge Raymond S. Pohl with the class A misdemeanor

The charges had been originally filed in September but the DAs Office filed a “no complaint” in the case meaning that the case wasn’t going to be prosecuted at the time. Officials said the DAs Office needed more time to review the reports prepared by the Oregon State Police.
According to the court documents that were filed on Oct. 15, Pohl did “unlawfully, with the intent of arousing the sexual desire of defendant or another person, exposed his genitals while in the view of a public place.”
Records also show that the acts occurred between Oct. 20, 2013 and Sep. 10, 2015.
According to earlier reports, the alleged victim is the mother in law of an officer who recently accused Clatskanie’s police chief of racism. A source told KOIN 6 News that Pohl had been harassing the officer’s family, but no criminal harassment charges were filed.
Pohl remains out of custody. His next scheduled court appearance is March 2016.
