VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) – Police are investigating a man’s death at an apartment complex in the Bagley Downs neighborhood on Friday morning.
Officers say the man was killed by a homeowner when he attempted to burglarize him around 12:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of General Anderson Avenue.
Kim Kapp, a police spokesperson, said when officers arrived, they located a subject face down on the apartment floor. Officers immediately began CPR and applied an AED.
“The subject was observed to be unconscious and not breathing,” according to Kapp.
There is no threat to the public, according to a detective on scene. No one is in custody.
Major Crimes detectives were contacted and responded to investigate, but it was not a full team call out.
