PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A low-speed chase between an erratic driver in an RV ended on Cornelius Pass Road at Hwy 30 when the man tried to ram a Multnomah County deputy’s vehicle.
The man eventually surrendered, then was surrounded and handcuffed by various law enforcement agencies.
The driver, whose name has not yet been released, caused extensive damage to one car, causing minor injuries to the people inside. One mother on the road told KOIN 6 News officers told her to keep her and her children’s heads down because the man posed a serious threat.

Cornelius Pass was closed between Hwy 30 and Skyline Boulevard but one lane has reopened and flaggers will be directing traffic for several hours.
One deputy’s vehicle needed to be towed.
KOIN 6 News will have more information later in the day.
