Man needs surgery after shooting in Vancouver

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was shot near a Walgreens in Vancouver Monday afternoon, Vancouver police said.

The adult male victim was found at SE Mill Plain Blvd. and 97th Avenue around 4 p.m. suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, where police said the victim required surgery.

The major crimes team is investigating the shooting but a suspect has not been arrested and police do not have a description of the suspect. Anyone with information should call Vancouver police.
