VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN 6) — Authorities are investigating the deaths of two men in Clark County.

Clark County Sgt. Robert Latter says just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to the Kays Motel to investigate “a suspicious circumstance.” When deputies arrived, they found the body of a 41-year-old man. The medical examiner will confirm the man’s identity, but we’ve learned he is from Portland.

At 11:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Vancouver Police responded to Bagley Park to investigate reports of a disturbance with a weapon, according to Officer Ilia Botvinnik. A man was found unconscious and died on scene.

“There are no reasons to believe at this time that public is in danger in relation to this incident,” Botvinnik in a prepared statement.

The man’s name has not been released. Botvinnik said there are no outstanding suspects.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says the death at the motel is considered “suspicious.”

KOIN 6 News will update this story as new information is released.
