PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a 37-year-old woman in Southeast Portland’s Woodstock neighborhood.

The victim told police she was hit over the head and sexually assaulted around 3:30 p.m. New Year’s Day in the area of SE 47th Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard, Portland Police Bureau said.

She reportedly went to the hospital for medical treatment before calling police.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s with a thin build and dark, greasy short hair. He was reportedly wearing a “Pork Army” patch on the back of his gas attendant-style jacket.

He smelled of alcohol and cigarettes, the victim reportedly told police.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity should call 503.823.0453.
