LAFAYETTE, Ore. (KOIN) — A suspected car prowler was caught in the act early Thursday morning, according to Yamhill County Deputies.
A detective was performing surveillance on Cosmo St. in an unmarked car when he saw a man wearing all black walk down a private driveway and try to open car doors. He got into one car, rifling through things with a small flashlight.
Another deputy was called and they both confronted the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Edgardo Sanchez Rodriguez.
Rodriguez was arrested last year for similar crimes.
He is in the Yamhill County jail on $7,500 bail.
