CORVALLIS, Ore. (KOIN) — A crime spree that lasted 29 minutes and prompted 4 different people to call 911 landed a 20-year-old Corvallis man in jail and facing 23 separate charges.
Trenton Huber was arrested Sunday by Corvallis police after the crimes begain in the 3100 block of NW Foxtail Place. During his arrest, Huber asked for a Minor in Possession citation so he could leave, authorities said.
In order, Huber is accused of:
— An attempted carjacking
— An assault on an 11-year-old boy, a threat to kill his father
— A carjacking, kidnapping, sexual assault and assault
— An assault and threat with a knife
— A break-in and assault of the resident
The details
Huber first approached a family in their car in front of their house on Foxtail Place, police said. “I’m not going to hurt your family,” he allegedly said, but could not get in the car because it was locked. He left, and a family member called 911.
Near the south end of NW Shooting Start Drive, Huber allegedly saw a father and his 11-year-old son on the bike path. He asked them where their car keys and house were, then put the boy into a headlock. The father hit Huber until he released the boy, and then they fled. Huber did not follow them, police said.
At NW Shooting Star Drive and Morning Glory, he walked up to a woman sitting in her car and said he needed help. When she rolled down the window, he pointed a gun in her face, got in the back seat and told her to drive. He allegedly kept a gun to her head while she drove — and while he fondled her.
He kicked out a rear window of her car. hit her with her cell phone, and then let her go at the intersection of NW 27th Street and Van Buren Avenue. She fled and he stole her car, police said.
Huber then drove to the 900 block of NW 25th, parked the car in a driveway and got out. He left the gun in the car, police said. About a block away, Huber saw a man walking, pulled out a knife, slapped the walker and gave him the keys to the stolen car. The walker managed to flee.
Next, Huber kicked open the back gate at a house in the 2500 block of NW Lincoln Avenue, then — with police closing in — jumped the fence into a yard in the 2500 block of NW Coolidge and went inside through an unlocked door.
There, police said, Huber grabbed the resident but didn’t harm him.
Corvallis police arrested him as he came out of that house, and that’s when, police said, Huber asked for an MIP so he could leave.

Attempted Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle
Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree
Pointing a Firearm at Another
He’s being held in the Benton County Jail on bail of $868,500.
