ALBANY, Ore. (KOIN) — A quarter-pound of heroin, almost a pound of meth, a stack of money and a loaded gun were found by detectives at a Howard Johnson Inn in Salem.
Investigators searched that room after the arrests of two people stopped by police for allegedly driving a stolen Hyundai Tucson near Albany.
Eric Agee and Shawna Smith were arrested at the Santiam Rest Area on I-5 Thursday evening, Albany police said in a release. The Hyundai was reported stolen on March 10.
Agee, 37, and Smith, 28, are being held in the Linn County Jail for unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession and delivery of meth, possesion and conspiracy to deliver heroin and being a felon with a gun.
