Credit card skimmer found on McMinnville gas pump

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (KOIN) — A technician reportedly found an electronic skimming device on a gas pump at the Buy 2 76 Gas Station on Highway 99W.

Employees at the station told police they had been experiencing problems with the credit card reader on the pump for the past three months.

At this time, police aren’t sure if any credit or debit card information has been compromised. It’s also unclear if the device is what caused the card reader to malfunction.

Police encourage customers to check their statements for any irregularities.
