Witnesses said the driver crashed into a construction zone near the intersection of Northeast MLK Jr. Blvd and Burnside. Paramedics were called to the scene to check on a woman who may have been injured during the crash.

The driver, later identified as Jacob John Bunker, then ran from the scene and at least one construction worker chased him. The suspect was arrested a few blocks south of the crash site. His name has not yet been released.

The truck was stolen from Delta Farms in Northwest Portland earlier Friday.

Bunker, 35, faces multiple charges, including a parole violation.
