SHERWOOD, Ore. (KOIN) — Three men in their 20s who were arrested early Saturday morning may be responsible for more than 100 thefts from vehicles after.
A person called Sherwood police around 1:20 a.m. Saturday to report seeing 3 men casing cars in the area of the 23700 block of SW Scott Ridge Terrace.
Police arrived and quickly took one person into custody after he tried to run. The suspected vehicle, a red Ford F-150, was spotted by a Tualatin officer.
The truck was stopped at SW 124th and Tualatin Road and 2 men were arrested without incident.
Investigators got a search warrant and said they found numerous stolen items, including handguns and ammunition.
Zachary Martin Butler of Tigard, Jacob Alexander Huggins of Sherwood and Adam James Craig of Tualatin all faces charges.
— Butler, 22, was charged with criminal conspiracy.
— Huggins, 21, faces criminal conspiracy and probation violation
— Craig, 21, was charged with 2nd- and 3rd-degree theft and 3 counts of unlawful entry to a motor vehicle.
The investigation continues.
