BETHANY, Ore. (KOIN) — A “highly intoxicated” 19-year-old is being held on $50,000 bail for an alleged burglary and robbery early Monday.
The suspect, Luis Marquez-Ventura, allegedly pried the screen off a window at a home in the 4400 block of NW Chanticleer Drive in Bethany. The resident called deputies around 6:20 a.m. and then kept the intruder from leaving, officials said.
Deputies found a number of items that seemed to be stolen from other vehicles, including sunglasses and debit cards. A quick search found 4 other vehicles broken into in the area.
Marquez-Ventura had a computer and bags of items staged by the door plus the keys from the resident’s car when the resident stopped him, deputies said.
He faces 1st-degree burglary, 3rd-degree robbery, 1st-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and a pending charge for parole violation.
