Car with toddler in backseat stolen, found nearby

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A suspect is on the loose after stealing a car with a 3-year-old in the backseat.

According to police at the scene, the mother was picking up a friend when she left her daughter in the car for less than a minute. The car was stolen from SE 117th and Market Street.

Police said the suspect made a big loop, probably realized there was a child in the car and left it at SE 117th and Division Street.

The little girl was not injured.
