Police: Pizza Hut on Powell Blvd robbed at gunpoint

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing a Pizza Hut in Southeast Portland late Friday, police said.

Portland Police responded to the restaurant — located at 7901 SE Powell Blvd. — shortly after 10 p.m. on the report of an armed robbery. According to employees, the suspect displayed a handgun while demanding money.

The suspect left without incident after receiving the undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late teens to early 20s, 5-feet-6 and armed with a handgun.

Several officers searched the area, but didn’t find anyone matching the suspect’s description. There were also no surveillance images available to release to the public.
